Marriage Matters“Same Sex Marriage: Why the Church Cares”

Over the past several months, the Archdiocese of Washington has developed a series of inserts and other resources for parishes about different aspects of marriage. These are online at www.MarriageMattersDC.org.

This past weekend, a new insert, “Same Sex Marriage: Why the Church Cares” (“Matrimonios del mismo sexo: por qué preocupa la Iglesia”), was distributed in parishes throughout the archdiocese (English | Spanish).

With this issue so much in the news recently and with efforts currently underway in the District of Columbia to redefine marriage, it is important that as many people as possible have the opportunity to learn more about what the Church teaches on this issue – and why.
